he has those esssential skills, masterfully persuading me, to buy hiswhat?in case you believe him more than me, buy it...

Well, duh. The usual problem with NLP books is that they often try to sell while teaching, or use the patterns they describe to show off or "teach by example" (those typically bleed into each other). The same here: The author gives you what amounts to about 5 "patterns", repeated over and over, and used to 1) hammer into you how effective, great and wonderful they are, and 2) get you to download the next ebook by the same author.It has its limited use, of course, and I still did enjoy it. Plus, it's rather cheap. But I certainly wouldn't recommend it to any sincere practictioner of NLP. There are FAR better books out there, if you seriously plan to learn stuff.

This is an interesting and useful book, and might be good for writers as well as for public speakers and salespeople. It made me take a much closer look at even small wording changes, like when to use "and" vs. "but" so that your message comes across.Sometimes I felt that the language in the examples came across as unconvincing B.S. despite all the gimmickry. Often, the examples seemed awkwardly worded, with too many filler words, or constructions designed to conceal random leaps of logic. A lot of people will spot or sense these as tricks and raise some resistance, so don't insult their intelligence… TOO much. You can create your own examples that work better, and this is a useful exercise to try.Politicians and hard-sell types will use these techniques pretty openly, to guide the conversation and re-frame or even distract from an issue, especially when dealing with the media. Malcolm X was actually a genius at this, long before NLP even existed. Other reviewers have noted the over-use of the techniques in the writing of the book. At times makes the book feel like an extended sales pitch to the point where I have to slog through huge drifts of inspirational phrasing in order to get to the facts themselves. The facts, however, are worth noting and there's plenty of practice material.There are other styles of persuasion that don't rely at all on any of these techniques. See Susan Cain's book "Quiet" (about introverts) for some examples of how an quieter person can influence and even turn around conflict in high-stakes situations.

The more you read this short, powerful book, the more you will realize it is very likely the best book ever written on persuasion. Imagine how great learning a fairly dry subject can be, when nearly each sentence in a chapter is itself an illustration the technique being taught, and how good it will feel when you notice that you feel comfortable using the material with just a little practice as a result. These techniques dramatically improved my results as a marketer, and helped me personally as well.

This book gives great real world examples and enough training to get the edge in communication with others to help find win/win scenarios. A must read!

Another must have in your library. Sneaky little language patterns every communicator can use in good faith.

This guy is a sales men, and for that he does a good job of getting you to buy the book. but by the end of it you can see how pathetic he is in trying to get you to buy more products from him. I've done it before with other authors, I'm just tired of the scams.This author is a scam artist, you get so little out of the book. It will not help you with talking to your friends, family, spouse, and for the most part it will not help you sell stuff any better, won't even help you deal with your coworkers or boss any better. I wish I could get my money back without having to pay the shipping fee's. I wish I could get my time back.Better books are "Covert Persuasion"(mildly better), "Unstoppable confidence"(nlp book), "Personal Credibility Factor" (again mildly better)................... Read those, then read this, you'll see exactly what I mean.........This guy is a joke!
